This is a simple step down exercise that I use quite often with my knee and ankle patients.

This is an important exercise because it retrains the hip, knee and ankle muscles in a way that is very important to walking and running. The motions that are required to do this exercise are the main shock absorbing motions of the legs. Retraining these muscles in this way ensures that patients are able to get back to activity safely.
