An Expert in Rehabilitation

Gavin earned a degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Washington and has pursued advanced education in specialties such as Muscle Activation Technique, manual therapy, foot and ankle biomechanics and custom insert orthotic design. He is a skilled hands-on therapist with a thorough knowledge of therapeutic exercise. He specializes in patient education both in the clinic and out in the community, This enables his patients Thoroughly understand the hows and whys of their injury and their treatment. Gavin is the author of numerous books and articles including, 7 Secrets of Back Pain Relief Guide.

A Diverse Background

Gavin spent 9 years in the music business in New York City writing music and producing recordings. The bridge between these two careers was an ongoing dedication to the martial art know as Tai Chi. Gavin’s interest in physical therapy grew out of his application of Tai Chi to musculoskeletal problems. Gavin has taught Tai Chi at the Wellspring School for Asian Body Work in Boise as well as privately. He also conducts fitness and injury prevention workshops for both the US Forest Service and the Boise and Nampa Fire Departments. When Gavin is not in the clinic he enjoys spending time with his daughter as well as playing music, skiing, salsa dancing and kiteboarding.
